Our vision of tourism

We work with passion and with the objective to offer pleasure, satisfaction and security to our custumers; respecting population, culture and environment. We are convinced that tourism can be effective socio-economic development tool in our country, on condition that it is done fairly, benefiting local population ans is environmentally frendly.

We try to pay a fair remuneration to our local guide and to our services. Indeed we know that the way we pay has repercussions on the local population’s living conditions. We plan to reduce the negative effects of tourism and to be aware of and responsible for the impact of tourism concerning both tourists and travel agency.

 

Our Actions

Step by step, we are trying to develop community tourism far away from mass tourism and close to the local population. Our tours include community tourism; this new activity is a very good way to develop the community, enabling us to conserve traditions and to keep their culture alive. At the same time it gives more value to the village way of life, which has existed in Ecuador for millennia.

Moreover, we are constantly updating the “sustainable tourism good practices”, in order to obtain the environmental label of Rainforest Alliance Foundation, a NGO that has work for several years in Ecuador and responsible for protecting and maintaining forests in Latin Amarica (http://rainforest-alliance.org).

 

What do we expect from our travellers?

We try to explain to our visitors the importance of respecting opinions and each other’s differences. We hope that you are aware that helping us to maintain and to respect the equilibrium, means that you should not give money, sweets or anything else that could lead to a superficial relationship, which in the long term could create bad habits.

We expect tolerance and understanding form our travellers facing potential discomfort. It is important to understand that, for example, the development of tourism in a community requires time and effort for the local people, who try hard to offer the best services. It is thanks to your visit that conditions and activity development continue to improve, so we welcome all your criticisms and suggestions.
